Washington, DC – Today, the Sierra Club DC Chapter announced their endorsement of Robert White for DC Mayor.
“Robert White has pledged to work closely with the environmental community to meet DC’s climate commitment of eliminating greenhouse gas emissions.” said Mark Rodeffer, Sierra Club DC Chapter Political Committee Chair, “We must transition off fossil fuels and combustion-based energy with a fair and just transition that ensures thousands of good-paying green jobs for DC residents will support families, reduce energy costs, improve air quality and end greenhouse gas emissions in DC. Robert White has a plan to accomplish all these objectives. The Sierra Club looks forward to helping Robert White get elected mayor.”
