DC NURSES ASSOCIATION ENDORSES ROBERT WHITE FOR MAYOR

Washington, DC – Today, the DC Nurses Association announced their endorsement of Robert White for DC Mayor.

“Robert White has been a true advocate for nurses and quality care for patients during his work as a Council member of the DC Council. He has supported our efforts to address the nursing crisis in DC, advocating for a law requiring a minimum amount of patients a nurse may be assigned. This law will save lives and improve patient care.” DCNA COPE Chair and Metropolitan Labor Council, AFL-CIO Board member Ms. Robin Burns.

“Nurses have been on the frontlines of the pandemic for the past two years and have sacrificed so much to serve our community. The least we can do is treat them with the respect they deserve and ensure their working conditions are sustainable and supportive,” said White, “I am proud to have the endorsement of the DC Nurses Association.”

This is Robert White’s third union endorsement. Other endorsements include: Washington Teachers’ Union, AFSCME District Council 20, Attorney General Karl Racine, DC Latino Caucus, Jews United for Justice, Our Revolution DC, DC Working Families Party, and DC for Democracy.
